Sexism and Misogyny

Sexism and Misogyny with Cam Fraser and Teddy Loveny # 4

In this episode of You Can Ask That! I converse with Cam Fraser and Teddy Loveny. Cam is a Certified Professional Sex Coach and Sexologist. His work integrates scientifically validated, medically accurate information about sexual health, with sacred sexuality teachings from the mystery traditions. As a coach, he helps men go beyond surface-level sex and into full-bodied, self-expressed, pleasure-oriented sexual experiences free of anxiety or shame.

Teddy Loveny is a social impact obsessive who is passionate about bringing an intersectional perspective to the way we observe, measure and interpret change. They have fingers in many pies, working in outcomes measurement for community sector alongside designing and delivering learning experiences to promote queer literacy and allyship. Teddy is loudly and proudly queer and trans. They love to help others be curious about the intersections of identity, the space we take up and the impact we have on the community around us.

Together we discuss Sexism and Misogyny, why does it happen and what can we ALL do about it? The conversation spans across several offshoots of the topic;  masculinities, nurture and nature, power and control dynamics, ‘man in the box’ thinking, conscious parenting, and what we can do to be more emotionally aware and secure in our sense of selves as humans so that we can lead better lives. Brilliant!

I don’t necessarily think it’s great to go around saying like, I don’t see gender right, or I don’t see race because you are, you know, discounting a, a big part of someone’s lived experience in the way that that informs how they interact with the world and the way that the world interacts with them. And so I think like having mindfulness around that is really important
